Maxwells Shipping and Collection Policies
Maxwells assists buyers in collecting lots obtained during online bidding but does not provide an automatic packing and posting service.
Important Points:
Items not shipped: fragile items (e.g., glassware, pictures), knives/bladed items, firearms, large multi-piece purchases (e.g. complete dinner services) - or any other items prohibited by Royal Mail. Maxwells reserve the right to refuse postage of any items we deem inappropriate.
Shipping Responsibilities: Maxwells will pack items to the best of their ability, but they are not professional packers.
All packing and postage is at the buyer's risk.
Maxwells is not liable for transit damage. Insurance, if desired, is the buyer's responsibility.
Charges for Shipping: Pricing varies by item nature, weight, and packing complexity. Jiffy bag shipping starts at £20; box shipping from £25. A quote will be provided after receiving an invoice.
Collection:
Buyers can collect their items via an appointment system to avoid long queues. Call to arrange a convenient time.
