We provide a written valuation with photographs. Whether this is for a single item, multiple items of full house contents will be dependant upon your insurer’s requirements. Under insurance can be a major problem if you ever have to make a claim. Make sure your most valued possessions are professionally assessed and that your overall cover is kept up to date.
INHERITANCE TAX / PROBATE:
If you are dealing with the contents of a property following a death, your solicitor will advise whether a valuation of the house contents is required. Maxwells will arrange to visit the property, take details of the contents and provide a written valuation in accordance with Inland Revenue regulations, by a professionally qualified valuer.
We will also value just specific items if required.
Valuations are carried out under the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors guidelines.
