Selling at Auction

Commission with insurance - 15%
Single items over £1,000 - 15% on first £1,000 and 10% on remainder
Entry fee per lot - £1.50

A charge may be made for inclusion of images of lots in catalogues and/or adverts where deemed appropriate by the Auctioneers.

All charges are exclusive of VAT at the current rate.

Carriage can be arranged by the Auctioneers if required. An hourly rate plus VAT is charged by the carrier.

A disposal fee may be charged for items unsaleable at auction.

The Auctioneers reserve the right to charge 5% of the reserve price of any unsold lots.

Buying at Auction

Buyers Premium – 15% plus VAT at the current rate is payable on all lots.

Valuations

Inheritance Tax – 2% of the first £10,000 and then 1% on the residual amount valued
Insurance – 1% of the first £30,000 and ½% on the residual amount valued will be charged, plus VAT.
Minimum charge for a valuation in situ – £150 plus VAT

Fees for single items, an hourly rate or for very large valuations may be agreed by negotiation. Travelling and other expenses may be charged in addition to the basic fee.
